Starter/starter relay operation amount

Detection condition

•  The PCM records DTCs when the number of times the engine has been started reaches the warrantied performance frequency for the starter or starter relay.

Fail-safe

•  Inhibits engine-stop by operating the i-stop function.

Possible cause

•  Number of times engine has been started has reached warranted performance frequency for starter or starter relay (120,000 times).

REPLACE STARTER AND STARTER RELAY

•  Switch the ignition off.

•  Replace the starter and starter relay.
