COOLANT CONTROL VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Disconnect the coolant control valve connector. (See COOLANT CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

3.  Inspect for continuity between coolant control valve terminals B—C.

•  If there is continuity, the coolant control valve is normal.

•  If there is no continuity, replace the coolant control valve. (See COOLANT CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
