CHECK VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8])

2.  Remove in the order shown in the figure.

Vacuum hose No.1
(SeeVacuum Hose No.1 Removal Note.)
(SeeVacuum Hose No.1 Installation Note.)

Vacuum hose No.2
(SeeVacuum Hose No.2 Installation Note.)

Check valve
(SeeCheck Valve Installation Note.)

3.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


Vacuum Hose No.1 Removal Note

1.  Disconnect vacuum hose No.1, vacuum hose No.2, and the check valve as a single unit.

2.  Remove the vacuum hose No.1.


Check Valve Installation Note

1.  Remove the check valve as shown in the figure.

Vacuum Hose No.2 Installation Note

1.  Install vacuum hose No.2 as shown in the figure.
