PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Open the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER OPEN/CLOSE [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Remove using the procedure shown in the figure.

3	Evaporative hose No.1 (See Evaporative Hose No.1 Installation Note.)
4	Purge solenoid valve component

Step 2

1	Bracket
2	Catch tank
3	Evaporative hose No.2 (See Evaporative Hose No.2 Installation Note.)
4	Purge solenoid valve

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Evaporative Hose No.1 Installation Note

1.  Align the evaporative hose No.1 marking with the projection on the catch tank as shown in the figure and assemble.

Evaporative Hose No.2 Installation Note

1.  Insert evaporative hose No.2 until it contacts the stopper part of the catch tank.

2.  Insert the pipe of the purge solenoid valve until it contacts the pipe of the catch tank.
