INTAKE SHUTTER VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Disconnect the intake shutter valve connector.

3.  Inspect the resistance between intake shutter valve terminals A and B.

Intake shutter valve resistance (specification)
0.3—100 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the intake shutter valve. (See INTAKE SHUTTER VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
