BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Note

•  The boost air temperature sensor and boost pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the boost air temperature sensor or boost pressure sensor, replace the boost air temperature sensor/boost pressure sensor.

Voltage inspection

1.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

2.  Measure the voltage at the boost pressure sensor terminal A.

•  If the voltage is within the specification, go to the next step.

•  If the voltage is not within the specification, replace the boost pressure sensor. (See BOOST AIR PRESSURE SENSOR/BOOST AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Start the engine.

4.  Measure the voltage at the boost pressure sensor terminal A when the accelerator pedal is depressed.

•  If the voltage does not increase, replace the boost pressure sensor. (See BOOST AIR PRESSURE SENSOR/BOOST AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
