HIGH FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Resistance Inspection

Note
•  The high fuel pressure sensor/high fuel temperature sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the high fuel pressure sensor/high fuel temperature sensor, replace it together with the fuel distributor as a single unit.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Open the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER OPEN/CLOSE [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Disconnect the high fuel pressure sensor/high fuel temperature sensor connector.

4.  Measure the resistance between high fuel pressure sensor/high fuel temperature sensor terminals B and C.

•  If not as specified, replace the fuel distributor. (See HIGH FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR/HIGH FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
