NEUTRAL SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Caution
•  If the wiring harnesses or waterproof connectors are damaged, water penetrating the connector will cause a sensor malfunction. To prevent this, be careful not to damage wiring harnesses or waterproof connectors.

Neutral Sensor No.1


Voltage inspection

1.  Lift up the vehicle.

2.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the voltmeter to neutral sensor No.1 terminal C (vehicle wiring harness side).

4.  Verify that the neutral sensor No.1 voltage is within the standard when the shift lever is shifted with the ignition switched ON (engine off).

•  If not as specified, replace the neutral sensor No.1. (See NEUTRAL SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R, C66MX-R].)

Specification
Shift lever is not at neutral position: Approx. 4.5 V or more
Shift lever is at neutral position: Approx. 0.8 V or less


Neutral Sensor No.2


Voltage inspection

1.  Lift up the vehicle.

2.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the voltmeter to neutral sensor No.2 terminal C (vehicle wiring harness side).

4.  Verify that the neutral sensor No.2 voltage is within the standard when the shift lever is shifted with the ignition switched ON (engine off).

•  If not as specified, replace the neutral sensor No.2. (See NEUTRAL SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R, C66MX-R].)
