COOLANT CONTROL VALVE POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (E))]

Note
•  The coolant control valve position sensor is built into the coolant control valve. When replacing the coolant control valve position sensor, replace the coolant control valve.

PID/DATA Monitor Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display PIDs ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD and ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)

4.  When the engine is started after switching the ignition ON (engine off), verify that the PID ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_ACT value conforms to the PID ENG_COOL_VLV_POS_COMD value.

•  If not as verified, replace the coolant control valve (See COOLANT CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (E))].)
