System malfunction location

Communication error with Electric Power Steering (EPS) control module

Detection condition

• The electronically controlled brake unit cannot receive CAN signal from the Electric Power Steering (EPS) control module.

Fail-safe

Refer to “DTC Table” and “Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table”. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT].)

Possible cause

• Malfunction in CAN communication line between Electric Power Steering (EPS) control module and electronically controlled brake unit
