NEUTRAL SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R]

Replacement Part

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2.  Remove the following parts as a single unit.

•  Air cleaner cover

•  Air cleaner element

•  Fresh-air duct

•  Air cleaner case

•  Air hose

•  Resonance chamber

3.  Remove the neutral sensor using the following procedure.

(1)  Disconnect the neutral sensor connector.

(2)  Remove the neutral sensor and O-ring as a single unit.

(3)  Remove the O-ring from the neutral sensor .

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Installation note.)

Installation note

1.  Clean neutral sensor and the neutral sensor installation hole.

Note

•  Do not apply manual transaxle oil to the O-ring.

2.  Apply manual transaxle oil to the neutral sensor installation hole.

3.  Install a new O-ring to neutral sensor.

4.  Install neutral sensor and the O-ring as a single unit.
