System malfunction location

Communication error with Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module

Detection condition

•  The dash-electrical supply unit cannot receive CAN signal from the Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module.

Fail-safe

•  The value of the data which is not received from the Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module is fixed at the specified value.

Possible cause

•  Malfunction in CAN communication line between Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module and dash-electrical supply unit
