TOUCH SENSOR INSPECTION

Note
•  The integrity of the touch sensor cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the touch sensor, perform the following procedure.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the BCM. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (E)].)
•  If DTCs are not detected, go to the next step.

3.  Select the following PID and simulation items using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.) (See SIMULATION INSPECTION.)

•  TOUCH_SEN_LCK_L/F
•  TOUCH_SEN_ULCK_L/F
•  TOUCH_SEN_LCK_R/F
•  TOUCH_SEN_ULCK_R/F

4.  Turn the simulation item on.

5.  Touch the touch sensor and verify that the PID values change as follows.

•  If it cannot be verified as indicated in the table, replace the touch sensor. (See TOUCH SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
