DOOR LOCK SWITCH INSPECTION

Driver's Side / Passenger's Side

Door Lock Switch Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If the continuity is not as indicated in the table, replace the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

LED Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage to cluster switch terminal A, and connect terminal B to ground.

4.  Verify that the LED is turned on.

•  If the LED does not turn on, replace the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

Liftgate

Door Lock Switch Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.   Verify that the resistance and continuity is as indicated in the table.

•   If not as indicated in the table,, replace the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

LED Illumination Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage to cluster switch terminal A, and connect terminal B to ground.

4.  Verify that the LED is turned on.

•  If the LED does not turn on, replace the door lock switch. (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
