DOOR LOCK STRIKER ADJUSTMENT

Caution

•  When adjusting the door lock striker, be careful not to allow the hammer to contact the vehicle body. Otherwise, the vehicle body could be damaged.

Note

•  There is an adjustment plate inside the pillar so that the door lock striker position can be adjusted by lightly tapping on the door lock striker.

1.  Loosen the door lock striker installation screws.

2.  Wrap the door lock striker with a clean cloth and lightly tap on the door lock striker with a hammer to adjust it.

3.  Tighten the door lock striker installation screws. (See DOOR LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Close the door and verify its tightness when it is closed and that there is no looseness.
