DTC U0100:00 [DC-DC CONVERTER (Mazda M Hybrid)]

id140206301900

Outline

System malfunction location

Communication error with PCM

Detection condition
•  The DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) cannot receive CAN signal from the PCM for 1 s or more.
Precondition
•  1.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
•  Voltage at DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) terminal 1A is 9-16 V for a continuous 1 s
Fail-safe
•  The integrated starter generator (ISG) only generates power required for power supply to the 12 V system.
•  Inhibits the i-stop control.
•  Inhibits the non-power generation control.
•  Inhibits regenerative braking by the integrated starter generator (ISG).
•  Inhibits motor assist control by the integrated starter generator (ISG).
Possible cause
•  DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) connector or terminals malfunction
•  Short to ground in DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) CAN_H communication line
•  Short to power supply in DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) CAN_L communication line
•  Open circuit in any of the following DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) circuits.
―  CAN_H communication line
―  CAN_L communication line
•  Malfunction in CAN communication line between PCM and DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid)
•  PCM malfunction
•  DC-DC converter (Mazda M Hybrid) malfunction
