DTC C1A67:54 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE]

id1502c5058200

Outline

System malfunction location

Front radar sensor aiming adjustment not implemented

Detection condition
•  The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the front radar sensor aiming adjustment was not implemented.
Fail-safe
Possible cause
•  Front radar sensor aiming adjustment malfunction (aiming adjustment not implemented)
•  Front radar sensor malfunction
•  Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
•  Front radar sensor which was used on a different vehicle is installed.
Note
•  If the ignition is switched OFF in the middle of aiming, the front radar sensor may detect a DTC even if the front radar sensor power supply voltage is stable.

Diagnostic Procedure

Step

Inspection

Results

Action

1
INSPECT VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM) and the body control module (BCM).
•  Is a DTC related to an internal malfunction displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.
2
INSPECT FRONT RADAR SENSOR FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the front radar sensor.
•  Is a DTC displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.
3
FRONT RADAR SENSOR AIMING ADJUSTMENT
•  Perform the front radar sensor aiming adjustment.
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM).
•  Was the aiming adjustment completed?
Yes
Go to repair completion verification 1.
No
If error code is displayed
•  Inspect/repair the error cause according to the error code and perform the front radar sensor aiming adjustment again.
•  Go to repair completion verification 1.
If the M-MDS screen suddenly closes during aiming
•  Go to the next step. (Front radar sensor power supply circuit and ground malfunction can be considered)
4
INSPECT CIRCUITS OF FRONT RADAR SENSOR POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND GROUND
•  Inspect the circuits of the front radar sensor power supply system and the ground.
―  Open circuit, short circuit
―  Poor connection of ground point
•  Are the circuits and ground point normal?
Yes
Perform the aiming adjustment and then go to the next step.
No
After repairing the malfunction, perform the aiming adjustment and then go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 1
VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM).
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the body control module (BCM), then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2
VERIFY IF OTHER DTC IS DISPLAYED
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
