System malfunction location

Driver monitoring camera unit internal malfunction

Detection condition

• The driver monitoring camera unit detects a driver monitoring camera malfunction for 10 s.

Fail-safe

(See DTC TABLE [DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA UNIT (E)].)

Possible cause

• Driver monitoring camera malfunction (built into center display)

INSPECT DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA FOR MALFUNCTION

•  Perform the DTC inspection for the driver monitoring camera unit.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Are any of the following DTCs displayed?

―  U3000:04

―  U3000:42

―  U3000:49

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See DTC TABLE [DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA UNIT (E)].)

No

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

(See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [(E)].)

If the CAN communication is normal, replace the center display and perform the repair completion verification.

(See CENTER DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Repair completion verification

VERIFY IF OTHER DTC IS DISPLAYED

•  Perform the DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

1	INSPECT DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA FOR MALFUNCTION • Perform the DTC inspection for the driver monitoring camera unit. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Are any of the following DTCs displayed? ― U3000:04 ― U3000:42 ― U3000:49	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA UNIT (E)].)
1		No	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [(E)].) If the CAN communication is normal, replace the center display and perform the repair completion verification. (See CENTER DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
