Head Light Care/Restoration
The cloudy headlight reflector of a car not only diminishes its aesthetic appeal but also restricts visibility while driving at night.
Method 1: Cleaning with toothpaste:
1. Clean the surface of the headlight reflector.
2. Apply toothpaste onto the surface of the reflector.
3. Use a soft cloth to wipe it back and forth.
4. Repeat steps two and three until the desired level of shine is achieved.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
Method 2: Cleaning the headlight reflector with baking soda and vinegar:
1. Mix baking soda and vinegar together, stir well to create a liquid resembling yogurt.
2. Clean the headlight reflector with water.
3. Apply the mixed solution onto the surface of the reflector.
4. Use a soft cloth to wipe in circular motions, from the inside out, for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Rinse the surface of the headlight with water and use a soft cloth to dry.
Method 3: Using sandpaper:
1. Clean the headlight with water.
2. Spray water evenly on the headlight reflector surface and soak sandpaper in water.
3. Use masking tape to delineate the scratched areas on the headlight, avoiding accidental scratches on the paint during polishing. Polish the scratches with sandpaper (P1500, P2000, P2500), ensuring a gentle and gradual process.
4. Clean the headlight reflector surface.
5. Use wax to polish the headlight reflector, then use a soft cloth to wipe evenly.
Note: In the case of scratched headlights, severe discoloration, or internal blemishes, it is advisable to take your vehicle to specialized auto care centers, where skilled technicians can address these issues.
