AIR BYPASS VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Resistance Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Disconnect the air bypass valve connector. (See AIR BYPASS VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Inspect the resistance between air bypass valve terminals E and F.

Air bypass valve resistance
0.3—100 ohms [23°C {73 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the air bypass valve. (See AIR BYPASS VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
