VACUUM CHAMBER INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

2.  Disconnect the vacuum hose from the cylinder head cover.

3.  Apply negative pressure (-94 kPa {-705 mmHg, -28 inHg} on the port A for one minute to check the leakage of negative pressure.

•  If there is air leakage, replace the cylinder head cover. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
