SEDIMENTOR SWITCH INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Perform the “Fuel Line Safety Procedure” referring to the “BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION”. (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

3.  Drain the fuel from the fuel filter.

4.  Remove the sedimentor switch. (See FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

5.  Verify that there is continuity when pulling up the float as shown in the figure.

•  If there is no continuity, replace the sedimentor switch. (See FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
