FUEL FILTER WATER DRAINING [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the floor under cover No.2 (LH). (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the sedimentor switch connector and wiring harness clip.

•  If the water drainage is poor, disconnect the quick release connector shown in the figure. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (FUEL SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

4.  Loosen the drain plug and drain the water.

Caution

•  Sufficiently tighten the drain plug by hand. If the drain plug is not tightened sufficiently, it could cause fuel leakage.

5.  Tighten the drain plug by hand sufficiently.
