ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Note

•  Because the APP sensor is integrated in the accelerator pedal, replacing the APP sensor includes replacement of the accelerator pedal.

Function Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display the PIDs APP1 and APP2. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)(See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-X)].)

4.  Verify that the voltage and opening angle values indicated for PID APP1 and APP2 are within the standard.

•  If they cannot be verified, replace the accelerator pedal. (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
