WATER PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Visual Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the water pressure sensor. (See WATER PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Visually inspect the water pressure sensor for the following malfunction:

•  Damage, cracks, dirt

―  If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the water pressure sensor. (See WATER PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

―  If there is no malfunction, perform the voltage inspection. (See Voltage Inspection.)

Voltage Inspection

1.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

2.  Measure the voltage at the water pressure sensor terminal B.

•  If the voltage is not within the specification, replace the water pressure sensor. (See WATER PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
