ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

Replacement Part

Note

•  The engine oil temperature sensor and engine oil pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the engine oil temperature sensor or engine oil pressure sensor, replace the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

3.  Remove the following parts: (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

•  Fresh-air duct

•  Air cleaner

•  Air hose

•  Air inlet pipe

4.  Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

5.  Remove the turbocharger air outlet pipe. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

6.  Remove the intake shutter valve. (See INTAKE SHUTTER VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

7.  Disconnect the connector for the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor using the following procedure:

(1)  Pull out the connector lock in the direction of the arrow.

(2)  Press the lock down in the direction of the arrow and disconnect the connector. (See Engine Oil Temperature Sensor/Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Connector Connection Note.)

8.  Remove the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

1.  Connect the connector for the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor and press it in the lock direction of the arrow.
