Brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side)

Detection condition

•  C103D:84

―  The electronically controlled brake unit detects a condition in which the brake fluid temperature signal (master cylinder side) received from the brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side) is the specification or less.

•  C103D:85

―  The electronically controlled brake unit detects a condition in which the brake fluid temperature signal (master cylinder side) received from the brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side) is the specification or more.

Fail-safe

Refer to “DTC Table” and “Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table”. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT].)

Possible cause

•  Electronically controlled brake unit malfunction

―  Brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side) malfunction

INSPECT ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY

•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)

•  Perform the DTC inspection for the electronically controlled brake unit.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Replace the electronically controlled brake unit and perform the repair completion verification.

No

Go to the next step.

Repair completion verification

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED

•  Perform the DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
