Outline

System malfunction location

Brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side)

Detection condition
•  The electronically controlled brake unit detects that the brake fluid temperature signals (master cylinder side) of 2 systems received from the brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side) do not match.
Fail-safe
Refer to “DTC Table” and “Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table”. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT].)
Possible cause
•  Electronically controlled brake unit malfunction
―  Brake fluid pressure sensor (master cylinder side) malfunction

INSPECT ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the electronically controlled brake unit.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, replace the electronically controlled brake unit and perform the repair completion verification.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification
VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
