AUTO HOLD SWITCH INSPECTION

Note
•  The AUTOHOLD switch is integrated into the electric parking brake switch.
•  For the AUTOHOLD switch removal/installation, refer to the electric parking brake removal/installation. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Continuity Inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)


Illumination Light Inspection

Note
•  The illumination light is built into the AUTOHOLD switch. If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage to electric parking brake switch terminal K, and connect terminal B to ground.

4.  Verify that the illumination light turns on.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)


Indicator Light Inspection

Note
•  The indicator light is built into the AUTOHOLD switch. If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage to electric parking brake switch terminal L, and connect terminal G to ground.

4.  Verify that the indicator light turns on.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
