Detection condition
|
• If the TCM detects any of the following conditions for a continuous 5 s:

Fail-safe

• Inhibits i-stop control.

• Electric AT oil pump relay malfunction
• Short to ground or open circuit in electric AT oil pump relay power supply circuit
• Electric AT oil pump connector or terminals malfunction
• TCM connector or terminals malfunction
• Short to ground in electric AT oil pump relay control circuit
• Short to power supply in electric AT oil pump relay control circuit
• Open circuit in electric AT oil pump relay control circuit
• Short to ground in electric AT oil pump control circuit
• Short to power supply in electric AT oil pump control circuit
• Open circuit in electric AT oil pump control circuit
• Short to ground in electric AT oil pump power supply circuit
• Open circuit in electric AT oil pump power supply circuit
• Open circuit in electric AT oil pump ground circuit
• Electric AT oil pump malfunction

• Is the circuit normal?

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

• Inspect the applicable connector and terminal.
(See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
• Are the connector and terminal normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to repair completion verification.
|

INSPECT TCM CONNECTOR FOR MALFUNCTION
• Inspect the applicable connector and terminal.

• Are the connector and terminal normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to repair completion verification.

• Inspect the applicable circuit for a short to ground.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

INSPECT ELECTRIC AT OIL PUMP
• Remove the electric AT oil pump.
• Verify that the resistance at the electric AT oil pump is as follows:
• Is the resistance normal?
|
Yes
|
Install the electric AT oil pump and perform the repair completion verification.
|
|
No
|
Replace the electric AT oil pump and perform the repair completion verification.
|

Repair completion verification
|
VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Replace the fuse if it is blown.
• Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Clear the DTC using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
• Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
