AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [EV6A-EL, EV6AX-EL (E)]

Type: ATF FZ [SKYACTIV-G 2.0 (2WD), SKYACTIV-G 2.5]

Type: ATF FZ*1 or ATF A7*1 [SKYACTIV-G 2.0 (AWD)]

*1  :Add ATF of the type inscribed on the dipstick.
Warning
•  Do not perform the servicing while the ATF is hot. Otherwise, it could cause severe burns or serious injury.

1.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the wiring harness from the front crossmember. (With wiring harness)

4.  Remove the dipstick securing bolt.

5.  Remove the dipstick.

6.  Remove the drain plug and washer, and drain the ATF.

7.  Install a new washer and drain plug.

8.  Add ATF from the dipstick installation hole.

Note
•  Use genuine ATF FZ or A7.
•  The ATF FZ color is blue.
•  The ATF A7 color is red.

ATF A7: ATF is drained from drain plug: 2.8 L {3.0 US qt, 2.5 Imp qt}

*1  :Add ATF of the type inscribed on the dipstick.

9.  Adjust the ATF level.

10.  Insert the dipstick and install the securing bolt.

11.  Connect the wiring harness to the front crossmember. (With wiring harness)

12.  Install the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

13.  Install the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
