•  Mazda M Hybrid battery is any of the following conditions (PID: BECM_STAT)
―  READY
•  The following DTC is not detected:
―  P0B3C:00, P0B3D:13, P0B3D:11, P0B3E:00, P1B04:33 or P1B04:81
•  Applicable cell is targeted for balance control.
Note
•  The M Hybrid battery implements balance control in each cell (No.1 to 9) so that the voltage between the cells is maintained evenly.
―  Cells targeted for balance control are controlled so that the cell voltage is less than 0.9 V.
―  Cells not targeted for balance control are controlled so that the cell voltage exceeds 0.9 V.

Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)

P0DAD:F1, P0DAD:F2, P0DAD:F3, P0DAD:F4, P0DAD:F5, P0DAD:F6, P0DAD:F7, P0DAD:F8 or P0DAD:F9
•  If a cell voltage is less than 0.9 V even though the applicable cell is not targeted for balance control, the M Hybrid battery determines a malfunction and stores a DTC.
P0DAE:F1, P0DAE:F2, P0DAE:F3, P0DAE:F4, P0DAE:F5, P0DAE:F6, P0DAE:F7, P0DAE:F8 or P0DAE:F9
•  If a cell voltage exceeds 0.9 V even though the applicable cell is targeted for balance control, the M Hybrid battery determines a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Repeatability Verification Procedure

1.  Switch the ignition OFF.
2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 10 s or more.
