• PCM monitors common rail pressure using the fuel pressure sensor built in the common rail when the engine speed more than 500 rpm. The actual fuel pressure is higher than 230 MPa {2,345 kgf/cm2, 33,350 psi} or calculated pressure based on engine speed, the PCM determines that the common rail pressure higher then desired value.
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction conditions during first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
