COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF, L3]

Warning

• Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.

Note

• There are three types of cooling fan components, A, B, and C. Types A, B, and C can be identified from the number of blades on the cooling fans No. 1 and No. 2. Refer to the following table to identify the cooling fan type.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the shroud panel. (See SHROUD PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove the cooler pipe stay. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Remove the ATX oil cooler hose stay. (ATX) (See OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [JA5AX-EL].)

5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
