DTC P01C5:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)]

 id0102t5218100

Outline

System malfunction location

Fuel pressure sensor (integrated with fuel injector No.4) circuit low input

Detection condition
•  With the following conditions met, the fuel pressure sensor output voltage is 0.37 V or less for a continuous 0.7 s.
―  Battery positive voltage: 8.0 V or more
―  Specified time has elapsed after ignition is switched ON (engine off or on)
Fail-safe
•  Not applicable
Possible cause
•  Fuel injector No.4 connector or terminal malfunction
•  PCM connector or terminal malfunction
•  Short to ground in any of the following fuel pressure sensor (integrated with fuel injector No.4) circuits.
―  Power supply circuit
―  Signal circuit
•  Short circuit in fuel pressure sensor (integrated with fuel injector No.4) signal circuit and ground circuit
•  Open circuit in fuel pressure sensor (integrated with fuel injector No.4) power supply circuit
•  Fuel injector No.4 malfunction
•  PCM malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Caution
•  If a hand or tool touches the fuel injector terminal, the fuel injector might be damaged. To prevent this, do not touch the terminal.
•  If high-voltage generating parts or components and electronic devices come near a fuel injector, the fuel injector could be damaged. To prevent damage to a fuel injector, always keep high-voltage generating parts or components and electronic devices away from it.

Step

Inspection
