DTC P0398:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-X)]

 id0102u9360700

Outline

System malfunction location

Cylinder pressure sensor No.1 circuit high input

Detection condition
•  The PCM monitors the input voltage from the cylinder pressure sensor No.1. If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1Y is above 4.84 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the cylinder pressure sensor No.1 circuit has a malfunction.
Fail-safe
•  Inhibits the EGR control.
•  Inhibits the SPCCI control.
•  Stops the combustion control feedback.
•  Retards the ignition timing.
Possible cause
•  Cylinder pressure sensor No.1 connector or terminals malfunction
•  Cylinder pressure sensor No.1 malfunction
•  PCM connector or terminals malfunction
•  Short to power supply in cylinder pressure sensor No.1 signal circuit
•  Open circuit in cylinder pressure sensor No.1 ground circuit
•  PCM malfunction
