COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (E))]

Warning
•   A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before servicing.
Note
•  The radiator shape differs depending on the period of manufacture and the servicing procedure differs.Therefore, verify the radiator shape in advance.

Radiator type A

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the front under cover No.1 and the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)(See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (E))].)

4.  Remove the following parts as a single unit: (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (E))].)

•  Air hose
•  Air cleaner cover
•  Air cleaner element
•  Air cleaner case
•  Fresh-air duct
•  Resonance chamber

5.  Remove or disconnect the following parts;

•  Bolt
•  Clip
•  Fastener
•  Wiring harness clip
•  Connector

6.  Remove the cooling fan component.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


Cooling Fan Component Removal Note

1.  Remove the cooling fan component from below the engine compartment.
