FUEL WARMER INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8]

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  If DTC P10D1:00 or P10D2:00 or P10D3:00 or P10D4:00 or P10D5:00 is detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC P10D1:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].) (See DTC P10D2:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].) (See DTC P10D3:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].) (See DTC P10D4:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].) (See DTC P10D5:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].)

3.  Access the FRT PID using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)(See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-D)].)

4.  FRT PID value is less than 5 °C {41 °F}, go to the next step.

5.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

6.  Perform the “Fuel Line Safety Procedure” referring to the “BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION”. (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

7.  Remove the fuel warmer. (See FUEL FILTER BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)

8.  Measure the resistance between the fuel warmer terminals A and B.

Fuel warmer resistance (specification)
Approx. 0.85—1.28 ohms
•  If not within the specification, replace the fuel filter. (See FUEL FILTER BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
