ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Replacement part

Caution

•  Do not tighten the bolts with the flange overlapping the engine oil temperature sensor and the engine oil pressure sensor. Otherwise, the engine oil temperature sensor and the engine oil pressure sensor could be damaged.

Note

•  The engine oil temperature sensor and the engine oil pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the engine oil temperature sensor or engine oil pressure sensor, replace the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the No.3 engine mount. (See ENGINE MOUNT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Remove the drive belt auto tensioner. (See DRIVE BELT AUTO TENSIONER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

4.  Remove the bolts shown in the figure and set the wiring harness protector aside.

5.  Disconnect the engine oil temperature/engine oil pressure sensor connector.

6.  Remove the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
