Replacement part

Warning

•  A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the drive belt auto tensioner.

Caution

•  If the rubber part of the drive belt auto tensioner is damaged, oil inside the hydraulic unit may leak out and the tensioner may not operate normally. Therefore, be careful not to damage the rubber part of the drive belt auto tensioner.

1.  Remove the generator drive belt and water pump drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

2.  Remove the coolant reserve tank. (See COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Remove the No.3 engine mount. (See ENGINE MOUNT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

4.  Remove the drive belt auto tensioner.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Drive Belt Auto Tensioner Installation Note.)

1.  Clean the area around the bolt hole.
