THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Note
•  The TP sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the TP sensor, replace it together with the throttle body as a single unit.

Function Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display the PIDs TP1 and TP2. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)(See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-X)].)

4.  Verify that the voltage and opening angle values indicated for PID TP1 and TP2 are within the standard.

•  If they cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. (See THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
