• Using the M-MDS, display the following PIDs for the climate control unit.

• Turn the heated steering wheel switch on and off while the PID STR_HEAT_SW is displayed.
• Is the PID normal?

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the climate control unit and perform the repair completion verification.

INSPECT IG1 RELAY No.2
• Inspect the IG1 relay No.2.

• Is the relay normal?

Yes

No

Replace the IG1 relay No.2 and perform the repair completion verification.

• Switch the ignition off.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more.

• Is the circuit normal?

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the dash-electrical supply unit.

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED
• Always reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
• Operate the heated steering wheel switch to turn on the heated steering wheel system.
• Does the seat warmer system operate normally?
