Troubleshooting item

Description

Insufficient air (or no air) blown from vents

(See INSUFFICIENT AIR (OR NO AIR) BLOWN FROM VENTS [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  Insufficient airflow from vent or duct

•  No airflow from vent or duct

•  Front airflow mode does not change

Amount of air blown from vents does not change

(See AMOUNT OF AIR BLOWN FROM VENTS DOES NOT CHANGE [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (E)].)

•  Blower motor does not operate even if airflow volume control switch is operated (no airflow from vent)

•  Blower motor operation does not change even if airflow volume control switch is operated (airflow volume from vent does not change)

Air intake mode does not change

(See AIR INTAKE MODE DOES NOT CHANGE [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  Air intake mode does not change when switching REC/FRESH mode

•  No change in wind noise when airflow volume is set to 3 or more even if REC/FRESH switch is operated

No temperature control with climate control unit

(See NO TEMPERATURE CONTROL WITH CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  Temperature does not change when operating temperature control dial

Windshield fogged

(See WINDSHIELD FOGGED [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  A/C compressor does not operate while airflow mode is in DEFROSTER or DEF/HEAT modes

•  Air intake mode does not change to FRESH while airflow mode is in DEFROSTER or DEF/HEAT modes

Air from vents not cold enough

(See AIR FROM VENTS NOT COLD ENOUGH [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  Insufficient cooled-airflow even if airflow temperature setting is MAX COLD

•  Excessive time required to cool to set temperature

No cool air

(See NO COOL AIR [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (E)].)

•  Magnetic clutch does not operate

•  No cool airflow even if airflow temperature setting is MAX COLD

Dual A/C control does not operate

(See DUAL A/C CONTROL DOES NOT OPERATE [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

•  Driver or passenger side temperature control dial does not operate individually

Noise while operating A/C system

•  Abnormal noise occurring from near A/C compressor during A/C operation

•  Abnormal noise occurring from near A/C compressor regardless of A/C operation

•  Occasional abnormal noise occurring from near A/C compressor during A/C operation

Switch/dial operation does not respond

•  Specific switch/dial operation of climate control unit does not respond

All switch/dial operation does not respond

•  All switch/dial operation of climate control unit does not respond

•  Indicator light of front climate control unit does not turn on

Climate control unit does not store information

•  When ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), climate control unit activated with set temperature at 22 °C {72 °F} while in AUTO

•  Past malfunction code is not stored in climate control unit

No warm airflow from vent

•  No warm airflow even if airflow temperature setting is MAX HOT
