Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)
Repeatability Verification Procedure
1. Display PID EX_FLOW_RATE (exhaust gas flow) using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)
2. Drive the vehicle so that the PID EX_FLOW_RATE value is 24 kg/h or more and 160 kg/h or less for a continuous 5 min. (Chinese specs.)
3. Drive the vehicle so that the PID EX_FLOW_RATE value is 11 kg/h or more and 160 kg/h or less for a continuous 5 min. (Except Chinese specs.)

|
PURPOSE: DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS GASOLINE PARTICULATE FILTER
• Perform the compulsory gasoline particulate filter regeneration.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Malfunction due to poor installation or damage of the catalytic converter (gasoline particulate filter) can be considered.
• Replace the gasoline particulate filter, then go to the next step.
• Perform the gasoline particulate filter data reset and perform the repair completion verification 1.
|
No
|
Go to repair completion verification 2.

||
Repair completion verification 1
|
PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
