POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0]

Replacement part

1.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

2.  Remove the following parts. See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

•  Left wall (rear)

•  Rear wall

3.  Remove the seal cover. (See SEAL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

4.  Remove the protector. (See SEAL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

5.  Remove using the procedure shown in the figure.

1	PCV hose (See PCV Hose Installation Note.)
2	Retainer
3	PCV valve

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

PCV Hose Installation Note

1.  Align the projection of the retainer with the marking on the PCV hose, and insert the PCV hose completely.
