 id040262005200

Outline

System malfunction location

DSC HU/CM system (unperformed initialization procedure)

Detection condition
Note
•  The low-G sensor and the yaw rate sensor are built into the Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module.
•  C0061:54
―  The DSC HU/CM detects that the lateral-G sensor value initialization was not implemented.
•  C0062:54
―  The DSC HU/CM detects that the longitudinal-G sensor value initialization was not implemented.
•  C0063:54
―  The DSC HU/CM detects that the yaw rate sensor value initialization was not implemented.
Fail-safe
Refer to “DTC Table” and “Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table”.(See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM (E)].)
Possible cause
•  The initialization procedure for the lateral acceleration sensor has not been performed.
•  The initialization procedure for the longitudinal acceleration sensor has not been performed.
•  The initialization procedure for the yaw rate sensor has not been performed.
•  Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module malfunction
―  Low-G sensor malfunction
―  Yaw rate sensor malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step

Inspection

Results

Action

1
VERIFY SENSOR INITIALIZATION PERFORMANCE CONDITION FOR DSC-RELATED PARTS
•  Has the sensor initialization for the DSC-related parts been performed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Perform the sensor initialization for the DSC-related parts and perform repair completion verification.
2
INSPECT SOPHISTICATED AIRBAG SENSOR (SAS) CONTROL MODULE FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Perform the DTC inspection for Sophisticated Airbag Sensor (SAS) control module.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 1
VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the DSC HU/CM.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2
VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
