Outline

System malfunction location

Oil pump shift valve stuck

Detection condition
•  Under the following conditions, oil pressure switch No.1 OFF output continues for 10 s:
―  During i-stop operation
―  Selector lever position is D or N position.
―  During electric AT oil pump operation
―  Oil pressure switch, low clutch and transaxle range sensor are normal.
―  Rate of speed change normal
Fail-safe
•  Inhibits i-stop control.
Possible cause
•  Oil pump shift valve (hydraulic passage switching valve in control valve body) stuck
•  ATF leakage from low clutch circuit

VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION OR SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Bulletins, on-line repair information, or Service Information availability.
•  Is any related information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS OIL PUMP SHIFT VALVE
•  Clear the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
1.  Drive the vehicle in 2GR or higher.
2.  Operate i-stop for 30 s or more.
3.  Repeat Step 2 operation above 2 times.
•  Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.

VERIFY THAT THE TIME LAG HAS NOT INCREASED
•  Perform the “Time Lag Test”.
•  Is the time lag longer than 3 s when N to D is selected?
Yes
Replace the automatic transaxle.
No
Replace the control valve body.
