• If the sliding mechanisms on both sides are not locked after assembling the front seat, the front seat will operate accidentally while the vehicle is driven, which could result in serious injury. After assembling the front seat, shake it up and down and verify that the sliding mechanisms on the both sides are locked. (With manual seat)
Caution
• After the front seat has been removed, if the slider lever is operated and the front seat is reinstalled with the left/right slide positions deviated, the adjuster unit could be damaged. After removing a front seat, do not operate the slider lever. (With manual seat)
• Verify that there are no malfunctions in the forward/back slide of the seat and in the adjuster unit after installing a front seat.
• When performing the procedure with a front seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or dirty the seat.
Note
• When removing the front seat from the vehicle or putting it back in, it can be performed smoothly by removing the head restraint.
1. Remove the head restraint.
2. Slide the front seat to the positions where the bolts shown in the figure can be removed.

3. Remove the bolts in the order of (1), (2) shown in the figure.
4. Slide the front seat to the positions where the bolts shown in the figure can be removed.

5. Remove the bolts in the order of (3), (4) shown in the figure.
11. Slide the lock in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, and while pressing the tab in the direction of arrow (2), disconnect the connector B in the direction of arrow (3).
12. Remove the front seat.
13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
14. If the driver’s front seat is replaced, perform the following procedure. (With position memory system)
(1) Perform the position memory system memory clearing. (When replacing driver's front seat and position memory control module as a single unit) (See POSITION MEMORY SYSTEM MEMORY CLEARING.)
