ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

• When replacing the adaptive LED headlights control module, perform the configuration to assure that the system operates correctly. (See CONFIGURATION.)

Note

• The adaptive LED headlights control module reads the vehicle attitude angle information and records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied when the headlight auto leveling system initial setting is performed after the adaptive LED headlights control module is replaced.

• Even if the battery is disconnected, the unoccupied vehicle attitude angle recorded by the adaptive LED headlights control module is not erased.

L.H.D.

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2. Remove the following parts:

(1) Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2) Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3) Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4) Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6) Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3. While pressing tab of the bracket in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the adaptive LED headlights control module connector in the direction of arrow (2) to pull out the adaptive LED headlights control module from the bracket.

4. While pressing tab of the bracket in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the adaptive LED headlights control module connector in the direction of arrow (2) to pull out the adaptive LED headlights control module from the bracket.

5. Disconnect the connector and remove the adaptive LED headlights control module.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

7. If the adaptive LED headlights control module is replaced, perform the following procedure.

(1) Switch the ignition ON (engine off) to complete the global central configuration (GCC) for the adaptive LED headlight control module.

(2) Clear the DTC. (See CLEARING DTC.)

(3) Perform the headlight auto leveling system initial setting. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION [(E)].)

R.H.D.

2. Remove the following parts:

(1) Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2) Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3) Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4) Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Driver-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
