VANITY MIRROR ILLUMINATION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning
•  Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front map light (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
(2)  Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
(5)  Front seat belt lower anchor (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(9)  Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(10)  Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R, C66MX-R].)
(11)  Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(12)  Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(13)  Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(14)  Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(15)  Cup holder (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(16)  Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(17)  Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

(19)  Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
(20)  Sensor cover (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(21)  Indicator unit (See INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(22)  Rear vent duct (with rear vent duct) (See REAR VENT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(23)  Rear console bracket No.1 (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
(24)  Headliner (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.  Disconnect the connector.

4.  Remove the bracket while pressing the vanity mirror illumination tabs (1).

Caution
•  If the vanity mirror illumination is removed from the bracket, the vanity mirror illumination may fall off and be damaged. When removing the vanity mirror illumination from the bracket, hold the vanity mirror illumination on the lens side with a hand during servicing.

5.  Move the vanity mirror illumination in the direction of the arrow (2), (3) and remove the vanity mirror illumination from the headliner.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
